Meet the leaders of our Medical Advisory Board
Arnold I. Pallay, MD FAAFP
Dr. Arnold Pallay is a graduate of the 7-year accelerated medical program at Boston University – College of Liberal Arts/ School of Medicine. He performed his family medicine residency training at UMDNJ/ The Mountainside Hospital, where he was appointed Chief Resident. Dr. Pallay currently serves as Medical Director of Changebridge Medical Associates, an 11-provider primary care practice, that is a member of a large statewide multispecialty group, Consensus Health. He serves as the Population Health Medical Director for Partners In Care, a clinically integrated network of over 500 independent multi-specialty physicians in New Jersey. He is also holds leadership roles in the American Academy of Family Physicians, and on his local Montville Board of Health.
“Arnie” teaches and lectures extensively on Medical Genetics, having founded the Jacobs Levy Genomic Medicine Program at Atlantic Health System over 12 years ago, where he is currently the Associate Medical Director. Dr. Pallay’s work focuses on Precision Medicine and Population Health and Genetics. He is Medical Advisor to ValGen Genetics Labs in New Jersey and for Pro-GeneX labs in Georgia. He is an appointed member of the Clinical Pharmacogenetics implementation Consortium (CPIC). Dr. Pallay has previously authored the Genetics curriculum for all Family Practice residencies and taught a Medical Genetics Board review course for The Osler Institute.
Currently, he is working as scientific advisor on an AI project for predictive polygenic risk scoring with an international consortium from Great Britain & Israel. Recently he was a lead Genomics speaker at the 1st Future of Healthcare Summit sponsored by HealthLynked in Naples, Florida, now releasing as a movie, titled “Forever The End of Aging” directed by renowned Director, Paul Castro.
He holds faculty teaching appointments at several medical schools and is Clinical Associate Professor at Rutgers Newark and New Brunswick campuses, at Seton Hall, Touro, and at Thomas Jefferson Medical Schools.
Jessica Preston, MS, PA-C
Jessica Preston brings with her a multi-faceted background to ValGen Labs.
With over 20 years practicing clinical medicine, over 10 of which have been enhanced with applications in biochemistry-based medicine and systems biology, Ms. Preston incorporates lab testing algorithms ranging from simple screening lab panels to more complex testing protocols. Her insights into laboratory test development incorporate the needs of patients and medical providers, while maintaining medical necessity practices.
Within her historic role as Vice President of Medical Affairs in a full-service laboratory setting, Ms. Preston developed molecular diagnostics testing panels for infectious disease as well as pharmacogenomics assays for mental health and cardiac genetics, now utilized in a nationwide program. In the rapidly expanding medical affairs role in laboratory settings, Ms. Preston spearheaded and developed medical education programs to assist in education at varying degrees for all aspects of laboratory education, enhancing unity in partnership within departments of the organization. This education model promptly expanded to outside the organization and into the medical offices served, creating a much-needed support network to the medical community, assisting in meeting the needs of their patients.
As an educator, Ms. Preston continues to lecture at numerous universities and hospital systems as she is passionate about bringing cohesive connections between medical providers, patients, and current medical challenges. This has furthered her role into education for our own ValGen Labs team as well as our medical providers to provide them with support and collaboration in this rapidly expanding environment.
As a natural collaborator. Ms. Preston integrates communications for laboratory science, ownership and management, and medicine. She is passionate about bringing new and novel testing panels in the laboratory setting that will marry evidence-based medicine and laboratory technologies that will continue to serve the advancing needs of the medical community.
Ms. Preston also owns and leads a nationwide wellness coaching service focusing on providing relief for those suffering from fertility issues in a supportive community that partners with conventional medicine providers to enhance wellness and success in achieving pregnancy.
